Terms of Service

Effective date: June 15, 2026

App: Steady Path for iOS and Android (com.steadypath.recovery)

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are between you and Nanjing Baoluan Information Technology Co., Ltd., and explain how you may access and use Steady Path, a private habit recovery companion for reflection, urge delay tools, journaling, relapse review, progress tracking, reminders, and optional subscription features.

By downloading, accessing, or using Steady Path, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app and uninstall it from your device.

Important non-medical notice: Steady Path is a self-support and habit reflection tool. It is not a medical device, healthcare service, therapy platform, counseling service, diagnosis tool, treatment program, emergency service, or crisis-response service. The app does not provide medical advice and does not guarantee any recovery outcome. If you may harm yourself or someone else, or if you need urgent help, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional immediately.

1. Who may use Steady Path

You may use Steady Path only if you are legally allowed to enter into these Terms under the laws that apply to you and if your use is allowed by your local laws and app store rules. If a parent, guardian, organization, or app store account owner manages your device or purchases, their rules may also apply.

If you are not old enough to consent to these Terms or to the processing of your information, you may use the app only with appropriate permission from a parent or legal guardian where allowed by law.

2. Service scope

Steady Path provides habit support features such as guest access, Apple sign-in, Google sign-in, onboarding, check-ins, sober time, streak goals, urge rescue flows, breathing or other self-support exercises, journals, relapse records, progress summaries, learning content, optional reminders, feedback, account deletion, and optional paid features.

Features may change over time. Some features may require a compatible device, network access, local storage, permissions, an account, app store services, RevenueCat entitlement services, or a paid subscription.

3. Guest mode, accounts, and device security

Steady Path may allow use in guest mode, Sign in with Apple, and Google sign-in where available. You are responsible for activity in your guest session or account, for keeping your device secure, and for protecting your app store, Apple, Google, email, and device credentials.

You should not share access to your device or private recovery records with people you do not trust. If you believe your device or account has been compromised, stop using the app on that device and contact support if needed.

4. Your content

“Your content” includes journal entries, urge records, relapse notes, trigger factors, reflections, recovery plans, feedback, support emails, and any other text or information you enter into the app.

You are responsible for your content and for making sure you have the right to enter it. Do not submit unlawful, abusive, harmful, infringing, misleading, or other people’s sensitive information unless you have the right to do so.

You keep ownership of your content. You grant us the limited permission needed to store, process, display, sync if enabled, analyze, troubleshoot, secure, and otherwise use your content only to provide and improve the app features you request, respond to support, enforce these Terms, and meet legal or app store requirements.

5. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information Steady Path handles, why it is used, how it is protected, and what choices you have. By using the app, you agree that your information may be handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

Because recovery records can be sensitive, you should only enter information that you are comfortable storing on your device or sharing through features you choose to use.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

7. Subscriptions, purchases, renewals, and refunds

Steady Path may offer paid digital features or subscriptions. Purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play, and entitlements may be managed with RevenueCat. Prices, trial availability, renewal periods, taxes, payment methods, billing, cancellation, and refunds are controlled by Apple App Store or Google Play and their terms.

Subscriptions may renew automatically unless you cancel them through your Apple or Google account settings before the renewal date. Deleting your Steady Path account, deleting app data, or uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription.

If the app offers a trial, the trial terms shown in the store or paywall apply. Your subscription may begin or renew at the displayed price after the trial unless you cancel in time through the relevant app store.

Refund requests must generally be made through Apple or Google according to their refund rules. We may provide support information, but we cannot guarantee that Apple or Google will approve a refund.

Before purchase, the app should present available plan information such as price, duration, renewal behavior, core benefits, links to these Terms and the Privacy Policy, and a restore purchase option where required by platform rules.

8. App store terms

If you download Steady Path from Apple App Store, your use is also subject to Apple’s App Store terms and the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement, unless we provide a valid custom license that applies. Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for Steady Path, except as required by applicable law. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms for iOS users and may enforce these Terms against you where applicable.

If you download Steady Path from Google Play, your use is also subject to Google Play terms and policies. Google may process payments, subscriptions, refunds, and platform services according to Google’s terms.

9. Reminders, permissions, and third-party services

Reminders, notifications, camera preview, email feedback, sign-in, purchases, restore purchases, and entitlement checks may depend on device settings, operating system behavior, network availability, Apple, Google, RevenueCat, email providers, hosting providers, analytics, crash reporting, or other infrastructure providers.

We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for delays, outages, store decisions, refund decisions, sign-in failures, notification delivery failures, or other events outside our reasonable control.

10. Intellectual property

Steady Path, including the app, design, software, text, exercises, graphics, interfaces, trademarks, and related materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property and other laws.

These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your own lawful personal use. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the app or its content to you.

11. Changes to the app and these Terms

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app when needed for security, compliance, maintenance, product changes, platform requirements, misuse prevention, or other reasonable business reasons.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will show a new effective date. If changes materially affect your rights or obligations, we will provide reasonable notice, such as an in-app notice, app listing update, website notice, or email where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Account deletion and termination

You may stop using the app at any time. Where available, you may request account deletion inside the app or through support. Account deletion removes or anonymizes app-managed account data according to our deletion workflow, subject to retention required for law, security, accounting, dispute handling, fraud prevention, app store transactions, or other legitimate reasons.

Deleting your account or uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel app store subscriptions. You must cancel subscriptions separately through Apple or Google.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if we reasonably believe your use violates these Terms, creates risk, interferes with the app, violates law or platform rules, or is required by a platform, court, regulator, or applicable law.

13. Disclaimers

The app is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation.

Recovery progress varies by person. Steady Path does not promise that you will reduce urges, avoid relapse, improve health, achieve a streak, or obtain any particular result.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of data; loss of profits; loss of goodwill; service interruption; device issues; decisions you make based on app content; or events outside our reasonable control.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent allowed by applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limits may not apply to you.

15. Indemnity

To the extent allowed by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your content, your misuse of the app, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your violation of another person’s rights.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the app publisher, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless consumer protection laws in your location require otherwise. If a dispute arises, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws that apply to you.
